Two Weeks!

Elliott is two weeks old now, and life is getting easier every day. Elliott went on his first road trip...Aaron had AT days in Boise this last weekend, so we decided that it would be a great family trip. No one on that side of the state had seen him yet, and scheduling worked out perfectly. Elliott is a GREAT traveler. He only woke up once to eat. Hopefully it stays this way as he gets older.

Boise was great. It was wonderful to get to visit with family. Grandma White, Great Grandma Larson, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Melinda, Madison, Isaac, and Abby were so happy to get to finally see the new baby. Abby absolutly loved Elliott, it was so cute to see her reaction and interaction with him. Already we are building strong family ties with the cousins, something else that I hope stays forever. Alexis loved the time to get to play with and visit Madison, and McKenzie finally cuddled with Grandma! If you know McKenzie, this was BIG, she doesn't adjust quickly to strangers, and before this, in her mind, Grandma was a stranger and McKenzie would hardly have anything to do with her. It makes me so happy to see them finally building a closer relationship.

Aaron and I always seem to be tired, the transition stage, I can't wait for an un-interupted nights sleep! BUT at only two weeks, I can already see changes as Elliott grows. Already almost not a newborn. WOW they grow up so quickly...too quickly. I have these same thougths as I look at my girls, how big they are getting, how much they are learning, and how much they are changing. McKenzie hasn't been my 'baby' for a while, but with Elliott, she has changed so much into being a big sister.
